Welcome back to Happie Feet. Today, we will be discussing the different tools and activities that help in alleviating our chronic back, knee and feet pain, and improve our overall physical health as older adults. First, I will discuss the different types of shoes that I like to wear personally to help my mobility and make activities/exercises more comfortable to perform. Next, I will discuss the tools that I use in order to improve my health and strength overall. Lastly, I will discuss the different exercises/activities that I enjoy partaking in, because it has helped me with the improvement of my health, endurance, and strength.
I learned that our feet health also involves the type of footwear that we utilize consistently. Some years ago, I had recognized that the shoes that I would wear on my feet did not support me, therefore it was very uncomfortable to walk, especially for extended periods of time. So, I began to research about shoes that offer maximum support for older adults. Memory foam was the most consistent kind of feature that was recommended. Consequently, I only purchase sneakers with memory foam because of how comfortable it feels and how much of my mobility has increased due to it.

After learning of the different exercises that can help in improving the strength and health of the back knee and foot, I begin investing in certain tools that I know would help in my health journey. I purchased weights, resistance bands, a yoga mat, and a Mini Stepper to increase my physical activity at home and my overall health.

Due to exercises being important to strengthen the health of the back, knee, and feet, I prioritize finding exercises that are bearable for me to partake in. One exercise that I didn't know I actually enjoyed is walking. The neighborhood I reside in is extremely walkable, which allows me the freedom to walk for extended periods of time. If the weather is not favorable towards me, I would use the Mini Stepper as a substitute. I also like to use Fitness YouTube videos to incorporate the weights.
